The collections and resources of the American Catholic Research Center and University Archives are open to the public subject to our access policy. Before visiting the archives, we suggest that you write or call in advance to ensure the availability of records relevant to your research. We request that all visitors schedule an appointment so that we may better satisfy their research needs. Please call 202-319-5065 or write to to schedule an appointment. This is especially important as some materials are stored off site and may take up to 72 hours to retrieve. 

If you are just starting out with a large research project, thesis, or dissertation you might find it especially helpful to schedule an appointment with us to discuss your research needs and interests and to determine what collections might be useful in you work.
