Special Collection's reading room is open to researchers Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. During the summer (May-August) the reading room is open 10am-4pm, Monday-Thursday, Fridays by appointment only. We ask that researchers stop using our materials at 10 minutes prior to closing in order to be prepared to leave the office on time.
Please contact ahead of time, as the reading room may be closed due to Catholic University closures (holiday or weather-related) or scheduled class visits. We do follow the Catholic University Schedule of Holidays and closings available at http://enrollmentservices.cua.edu/Registration-and-Records/AcademicCalendar.cfm.
The Archives is located in room 101 of Aquinas Hall at the Catholic University of America. There are food services available on campus within reasonable walking distance.
The Archives is handicapped accessible.
For more information about arriving to the Catholic University Campus, please read our Visitor Information page before planning a trip to the Archives. You may also review our reading room rules here.
Contact us for your simple informational questions! However, we cannot answer in-depth queries or requests for records submitted by e-mail or phone. Such research requests require a personal visit. Use of our facilities is not limited to members of the Catholic University community - all researchers, regardless of age or affiliation, are welcome.
